Okay, let me start by saying I am not an action person. I like drama, dark comedy, horror, and suspense. I prefer a steamy romance to a fight scene any day, but this movie broke me of that. I cannot say enough good things about this movie! The acting was awesome, the special effects were perfect, and the fight scenes had me gasping and jumping! This movie is funny, scary at moments, and so action packed I didn't leave for one second. This movie is a definite hit with me (and my mom) and we will definitely be going to see the subsequent sequels!
Pros well paced, great story, great actors

Prior to this movie, all I knew about Dark Shadows was what my mom told me (since she used to watch the show when she was younger). I must say, I'm contemplating watching the old serious because of this movie. Johnny Depp was delightful, as always, and the storyline was engaging! I found myself laughing, on the verge of tears, and rooting for Barnabus! Definitely two thumbs up!
