The Dark Knight Rises is an intertwining of Christopher Nolan's two desires: to tell his story of Batman, and to illustrate the execution of a propaganda film. While this intertwining is done quite flawlessly, there is often so much material to work with, the execution of the plot almost feels too rushed, and too fast for the audience to take a breath and fully comprehend all that has transpired. Despite this, TDKR is well-orchestrated with an evenly-paced plot, and establishes the full-circle of Bruce Wayne's journey by creating multiple tie-ins with Batman Begins. If this film falls short on any level, it would have to be its ending, which leaves audiences with mixed reactions. To remain spoiler-free, it shall only be said that some may not favor the direction Nolan has chosen to take the Batman franchise at the end of this film. While this film may not have the strongest story of the franchise, it is an honorable ending to an amazing, solid trilogy; and its action-packed plot, and avid heroes and villains are sure to provide worthy entertainment for most audiences.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors
Cons dialogue, too much exposition
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The highlight of Transformers 3 was its 3D picture, which was flawless, and in my opinion the best 3D picture I've seen to-date. But apart from its visual spectacle of 3-dimensional action, explosions, and optimus prime cutting down yet another decepticon with his energy swords......the movie was stagnant, bland, and insulting to sit through.
For one, there is very little character development, and an "on the fly" plotline. There's really no ultimate goal in this movie. The characters aren't trying to achieve something major. It's just another roundabout of "lets once again stop the decepticons from trying to take over the world." The film starts off with potential as it sets the stage for conflict when the opening scene explains the real history behind America's lunar landing. But other than that, the storyline is plothole-ridden, and leaves too many questions for debate.
(SPOILERS BELOW) For instance, why were the humans trying to destroy the main pillar in the space bridge if in the end, the whole thing was destroyed when bumblebee took out one of the sub-pillars? Why did the decepticons shoot down the Ark if Sentinel made an agreement with them to work together and enslave Earth? How did they know about Earth when they were too busy destroying Cybertron, and before Sentinel crash-landed on the moon which is presumably many light years away? Why in the first two films was Megatron obsessed with the Cube and Matrix of Leadership if the ultimate goal was to build a space-bridge and bring Cybertron to Earth, where it could be restored with Earth's resources? There are way too many unanswered questions (many of which I still haven't listed). I feel like this movie was written for five year olds, despite its excessive swearing.
In the end, if you love action and don't mind a weak plot, undeveloped characters, or a plothole-ridden narrative, then this movie is definitely for you.
