This movie had a little of everything. It had many heartfelt scenes as well as some rather light-hearted comedic ones (when she sat for her second culinary test with the woman that hated her as well as the "onion" scene). I hadn't expected to enjoy it as much as my wife but I did. Meryl Streep's performance was definitely worth the money. Glad we saw it - recommend to anyone of any age.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
