RR is tolerable...the suit is bigger than his ego. the lantern corps pretty cool. guardians cute and creepy. i woulda gone more thin & creepy but what do i know? i know that the universal threat scared me not. his lady friend was way hotter than other superflickfemmes...and a decent actress to boot. what happened to the girlie he was cozied up to at the beginning of the flick? does anyone know? not important.the other chick made her forgettable. hal will have his green will tested by sinestro in over-hyped wb (without batman) summer sequel.
summary: shouldve spent more on FX, less on hype machine. i mean, has anyone been to the grove lately? fer chrissakes, it screams "you have to see this movie...it isnt very good, but these posters are glossy and memorable! we love that sexy witty RR and u might see him in his briefs briefly.."
cute, but dont expect anything as good as batman or xmen. a better finish woulda made it a 4 starrer.

Some of the performances were standout..too bad the dialogue didnt stand up to them.
An interesting historical tale, but the characters never really develop til final 20 minutes of the film. the leads were great...Xavier, Erik, Shaw are great.the female mutants and their friends (Moira) were relatively weak, with the exception of Mystique.
Some digital effects were outstanding, while most appeared flat. the flying sequences are pretty cool and hold promise for future installments.
As an XMen fan from way back,I am always excited to see these muties brought to the screen, so I had high hopes. I'm sure the challenge of an ensemble cast requiring introductions/origins is very difficult, so ill cut them some slack.I simply wished there had been more action.
