A WONDERFUL Film!

My wife and I don't usually go to see 3D movies, because most of them are just gimmicky.
The first few minutes of "Hugo" fully and totally justify a 3D ticket price!!!
Add to that an incredible story that touched me deeply and on so many different levels... romance for a time gone by, intrigue, FANTASTIC acting and brilliant casting and, of course, Martin Scorsese.
HIs love of film is deeply reflected and informs every frame (or pixel) of this movie. For those of you unaware of the early days of cinema, this will be an incredible introduction for you... especially if you keep in mind that what you're learning about was cutting edge technology in the early 1900's.
The story is mesmerizing, the characters interesting and enchanting and the visual aspect is phenomenal.
I simply cannot recommend this movie enough! There are very view movies that I walk out of a theater thinking "I need to buy this when it comes out."
"Hugo" will be going right next to my Blu-Ray copy of John Ford's "The Searchers."
Yes, I recommend this movie.
