A cautionary tale in a magnificent ride

Our entire family went to see Avatar on Christmas weekend. We came out of theater simply going "WOW!" As to complaints that the plot and dialogue are "predictable," that's because the human race hasn't yet learned an essential lesson: how to live in harmony with our planet. When Jake Sully says, "They killed their mother," the meaning of that sentence for us now was like a knife to my heart. I wish everyone on Earth could watch "Avatar" and learn to "see" themselves and one another as clearly as the Na'vi. Absolutely outstanding movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
