Looked good, weak plot, predictable to the end

Someone needs a new writer! A film that looked fantastic, had great special effects, terrific actors and a banal predictable plot.
It should have been a fun action filled romp and instead became a snooze-fest. [Spoiler] as the missiles plunge to earth with only 30 seconds left - there was no risk at all that the moment would not be saved by our IMF team.
Sadly in the absence of a decent story line the silly over the top action does not seem to work. TC scaling the world's tallest building in a pair of kitchen gloves with batteries was really idiotic. Oh, and God bless BMW for dropping one of their cars front first for what was claimed to be 100 mtrs, the air bags must be good! Nothing more than a moments pause for our hero.
Probably worth waiting for the DVD.
Sad.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
