Film is Too Sad for Young Children

While I assumed there would be some hunting and survivalist realities, my 6-year-old and I were not quite prepared for all the sadness in this film: A mother lion who left her cub and pride to die on her own (this made my son cry), 2 cheetah cubs who were killed by hyenas (inferred, not explicitly shown), and 4 bullying male lions who drove an older male from his pride... This was on top of all the stalk and kill scenes. Definitely NOT a "feel-good" movie for little kids. :(
No, I do not recommend this movie.
