Not having read the trilogy, I had no knowledge of what to expect, other than people telling me it followed the books closely. Started off abit slow for my taste, but then picked up and was very enjoyable. Definately NOT for children or the meek. I would have to give it a "heavy" R rating, especially for a graphic rape scene.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I often dread going to see a sequel, but "A Game of Shadows" was equal to or better than the first one. The ending was great.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

What a waste. I have only walked out of 3 movies in 35 years of movie-going. This was one of them! Absolutely boring and the writing was terrible. The director should stick to doing Ugly Betty episodes. Thankfully I was able to walk into the next theatre and catch Battle:Los Angeles and not throw away my money. I can't believe this movie got such high ratings. Don't waste your money!
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Excellent picture. I went before the academy awards because I'm a history buff and thought it looked interesting. I walked out amazed and began to tell everyone I knew to go see it. I was so disappointed that Rush didn't get the Academy Award for Best Supporting. For a movie that had no blockbuster special effects, explosions, etc., and was about two middle-aged men talking to each other, it was fabulous. It really shows how great acting and writing (thats the screenwriter in me speaking) can make a motion picture.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Not as good as Taken, but Neeson is always pretty good. The story has an interesting twist and momentum keeps you interested until the end. Nice performance by January Jones from Mad Men and Diane Kruger is worth watching.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Love + Action w/ Damon = Not Bad

Not quite what I expected. The trailer made me think more Bourne Identity, but it was more of a love story with some action thrown in for good measure. It was also one of those movies that make you ponder the big questions in life: fate, love, choice, etc. Good date movie as it would appeal to both.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Great Action Flick

I wasn't planning on seeing it, as I went to another movie, which was so bad (Cedar Rapids) that I walked out and decided to see the Battle. I thought Eckhart played one of his better roles and Michelle Rodriguez is always great. The shaky camera shots were somewhat annoying, but the action scenes were great. As good as the action was, there was still a pretty good story about sacrifice, teamwork, and endurance. I actually got a tear in my eye as the comradery really came out in the movie and reminded me of men I knew in the service. Great Marine story in the vein of The Sands of Iwo Jima and The Flying Leathernecks.
