Fun movie, not much substance

I found the movie very enjoyable, would probably watch it again. For a movie set so dark, however, they didn't go very deep with the characters or with developing the nuances of the romance. I expected an adult version of Beauty and the Beast, but instead got a movie that part of the time was really well done, other parts seemed like I was watching a made-for-tv Disney movie (not that I don't enjoy those, too!) Mary-Kate Olsen did a fantastic job in this... I'd actually love to see her in more roles like this one and would've liked it if she got a bit more screen time. Alex's acting was also very good. Vanessa... well, she might need to stick with Disney. She gave a little more in this role (probably good direction) but still was very similar to her other good-girl roles. All in all, a fun movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
