Entertainingly good movie

If you saw and liked the movie "Phone Booth", you will most likely enjoy this movie as well. The structure of the movies are very similar, while the stories themselves have nothing in common at all. "Man On A Ledge" is not perfect, as there are several imperfections in the plot, storyline, editing, and continuity. In most cases those imperfections are played upon for comic relief or as a way to keep the momentum of the movie moving forward, and it works.
One way that I guage a movie is by the number of times during the movie that I look down at my watch to see what time it is. Even blockbusters have low points in their stories where this occurs, which is usually in the middle. However, I didn't look down at my watch once during this entire movie because it was always moving forward. It is not the greatest movie out there, and it doesn't try to be, but it is very entertaining and worth seeing.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Good, but not great.

This is probably the first of the movies to adhere mores strictly to the television series, which makes for a great storyline. However, there are quite a few points in the action that fail to keep your suspension of disbelief. I won't go into any detail about them, as that would ruin the story for you, but they typically occur where there is action and some kind of comedic relief.
The cinematography is great, but I felt like I was watching a Pink Panther movie when gadgets failed. All-in-all it is an entertaining movie, but be aware that there are several flaws that may or may not make the movie less enjoyable for you.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Unlike my other reviews, I don't really have much to say about this movie, other than it is full of inaccuracies that would scare the average person into thinking that they might be able to LIVE, if they break the law. The sad fact is that the time lines in the movie are extremely vague at times, and completely off at others. All that being said, "Outbreak" is a much better movie. If you haven't seen it, go rent it and you'll have a better movie experience.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Best Transformers So Far!

This is by far the best movie in the series thus far. It is probably the first time that I have seen any movie range to both ends of extremes and pull it off. Not only does it pull it off, it blows every other movie that has ever tried it, completely out of the water. If you haven't seen the movie you may be completely lost in what I am saying, but I don't want to ruin your movie experience. The ups and downs will completely blow you away, when you do see the movie.
You will probably feel the entire range of emotions for each of the characters. You may absolutely luv some that you hate, and abhor some that you luv, and then have things completely change again just a few minutes later. You may even hate the movie (the director or the writer) at some points, but you will definitely want to hold your final judgment until the very end.
The CGI is great, most of the acting is great, and a couple actors really suck, but the movie as a whole is much better than I would have ever expected. The interaction between human characters and robots has been taken to another level in this movie, you may even forget that they aren't human. Also, make sure that you pay close attention to the dialog as there are quite a few hidden (Easter Egg) jokes throughout the movie.
If you are a Megan Fox fan and think that her replacement can't hold up, think again. Rosie plays a much more dynamic character, which Megan Fox fans may dislike, but it is definitely better for the movie. There are some very nice Easter Eggs for those saying, "Megan who?"
In the end, this is also a turning point for the series itself. Much like the latest Star Trek movie changed the entire story line for Star Trek, this movie is the lead in to a much broader story line to come. I am eagerly looking forward to seeing what comes next.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Very entertaining, but something is missing

It is a very entertaining 3D movie, but it lacks the cohesiveness of a well made movie. The dual time streams at the beginning are sort of choppy, and disjointed, but they do work. While I can understand the time compression in the Asgard stream, the makers of the movie expect you to take a little too much as fact without building any background in the storyline.
The special effects are very well done, especially on Earth and on Jotunheim, but Asgard comes off as looking fake and completely unrealistic in all of the exterior scenes. I gave this a 4 star rating for good effort, though it is really more of a 3.5 movie. It is entertaining, so go see it if it intrigues you, but if you aren't sure, I would hold off and wait till it's on satellite.
Most of the acting is pretty good, with the exception of the Loki (Tom Hiddleston) character. I don't want to include any spoilers, so I'll just say that I knew from the dialog what was happening, and what the character should have been doing, but Tom Hiddleston's acting was horrendous. He has no range of emotions or facial expressions, he was nothing more than a puppet throwing out lines.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The movie starts out a little slow, with the exception of the opening scenes. It slowly builds up the characters and background for the storyline in a way that doesn't seem out of place and just flows.
The storyline is primarily based around high school kids, who IRL are mostly in their late teens to early twenties (which is usually done to lower the cost of making the film by removing the max 8 hour on set time contraint for minors). This is a lower budget SciFi film on the order of Twilight, but it performs much better and has some pretty nifty special effects. I would be very happy to see a sequal that builds from this film, but any sequal would need to kick it up a notch.

If you've seen the other movies in the series, then you will most likely want to see this one as well. The biggest disappointment is that they didn't replace the Peter and Susan characters with any new characters of equal like. I was able to engage myself in some of the movie, but for the vast majority of the movie I could just care less about the characters. It fails to walk that very tight rope of where a character does something bad and you are supposed to be concerned about the character, rather than just care less what happens.
There is a hint at the end that this may be the last movie of the series, as Edmund and Lucy are now too old to come back. If they are basing their decision to make another sequel on the turnout from this one, I seriously doubt that any more will be made. The new annoying cousin character is just that, annoying to the Nth degree.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Excellent Movie!

As others have said, this movie will keep you on the edge of your seat until the end. It's basically an action movie centered on the characters, not the action, throughout the entire movie. The action and special effects actually add to the characters, instead of being something on their own. This is a rarity, and something that everyone should see. Denzel Washington and Chris Pine play off of each other extremely well and it would be a shame if we didn't see them together again.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I haven't read any of the books and don't really plan to as screen plays must stand on their own. This episode has quite a bit of action and some very nice CG. The storyline is heading in an interesting direction, much like that of all the other vampire/werewolf shows, with Underworld being the first. Bella is the center of this vampire/werewolf world, and the storyline is just barely beginning to touch on that. While I do like the dynamic of Edward's family (and you learn much more about it in this movie), the werewolves just steal this movie. Who doesn't luv canines? With some very well executed flashbacks, the history of both Edward's family and the werewolves/Indians is told.
My personal thought is that the storyline will not be able to hold together if Bella goes through with becoming a vampire, and the days of the Volturi leadership are numbered, but we shall see in the last two episodes of the saga. Until then, enjoy the movie. This episode was made for everyone.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Ok movie, not worth $11.50 to see

I sort of enjoyed the movie, but I definitely don't feel that it was worth paying $11.50 to see. The storyline and feel of the movie is from the '80s with some mixed use of CGI. Some of the CGI is good, some pretty bad, but the bottom line is that the storyline doesn't overcome the movie's short commings. It also fails to suspend your disbelief on more points than it succeeds. I gave it a 3 for trying, but a 2 may be more accurate.
