I have not read the book, so my wife and I really didn't know much about it. IT WAS AWESOME!!!!! If the book is somewhat like the movie, then I would recommend the movie and the book. I know sometimes the movies changes parts of the book, but from what I have been told by friends who read the book, the movies came real close. Can't wait for the second one to come out already.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Although I understand this movie was based off of "true events" so there was not a lot of room for dramatics, I feel this movie moved kind of slow and jumped all over the place. The story behind this movie was a great story line, but I feel the writers could have done a better job of telling it. There were feel good moments and tear jerking moments in the movie, but my overall feeling of this movie was not "The Notebook" calibur. Recommend to a friend, sure, but go out of their way to see it, wait for the DVD. My opinion.

There was a lot of room for story line in this movie but my wife and I felt like this movie bounced around too much. A lot of so-called big name actors/actresses was in the movie, but no one actor/actress contributed greatly to the story line. There was just too much bouncing around from one city to the next. Yeah I get it, they had to narrow it down to where the actual pig/bat connected. Nowhere near as good as the 1995 movie Outbreak and that movie was all that great. Bad, this movie was bad and I can't get back the close to 2 hours I lost watching this movie and most importantly 2 hours I lost spending time with my wife on date night. Sorry baby. We should have gone and seen WARRIOR. THis movie should be classified a "sleeper" and not in the good way "sleeper" had been used for movies.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
