This is a great movie - a feel-good story of a boy surrounded and consumed by poverty in Mumbai, India. The story finds the boy as a young man competing on Indian Who Wants to be a Millionaire? As he answers questions, how he knows the answers is revealed through experiences he had as a child. It's a great story of making the most of life's situations and rising to the top through adversity. Really inspiring.
I'm so glad I saw this movie on the big screen. The cinematography was unbelievable - it's a stunning tour of northern Australia. Hugh Jackman was fantastic. Some of the other acting was a bit overdone. The first 30 minutes are a bit rough - I felt like the two lead characters went from hate to love with no transition. And the first 15 minutes was almost a bit cheesy. But after the rough beginning, it was really fantastic.
