Terrific Acting, But...

The King's Speech has some terrific performances by Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush, Guy Pearce and others, but in the end seems a rather shallow portrayal of the friendship between royalty and a commoner. While one roots for George VI to overcome his impediment, he just isn't really all that interesting a character.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
