Great movie. The most entertaining show we've seen recently. McConaughey is back doing what he does best. The cast was perfect and the dialog literate and witty.
Natalie Portman is as sweet and vulnerable as she appears, and Ashton Kutcher plays the slightly confused but always earnest suitor. Witty dialog, great acting and interesting supporting characters; best romantic comedy we've seen in a while.
Reminiscent of a Bergman film, only in color and with less dialog and scarce deeper meaning. Scenery was pretty but the storyline was predictable. Clooney is definitely the strong "silent" type; the dialog is minimal and usually terse. The most attractive items are several women he encounters in his travels; all are willing but most are terminal. The preview and coming attractions shown earlier depict this as an action film, but if that's what you're expecting you will be disappointed. It is interesting, but more as a character and film study than action adventure.
Good movie but my wife was a little surprised that it wasn't similar in feel to the Bourne series; rather was a war movie that had little appeal to her. I, however, like war movies and enjoyed Green Zone for what it was: action packed with interesting conspiracy aspects and plot twists.
This movie redefines the genre for science fiction. The effects were imaginative and perfectly rendered, the characters were believable and charismatic, the story was interesting; altogether a great experience. The story line somewhat mirrors "Dances With Wolves", but that's not a problem since that was also a great experience. I've seen Avatar twice (second time with wife) and enjoyed it just as much the second time.
This was an entertaining movie, especially for anyone who has watched the earlier movies and TV shows. Someone who has never been a Trekkie may miss some of the references, but will still enjoy the show.
Good movie...lots of action and it answers some of the questions from the earlier X-Men movies. It wasn't as good as the first two but still definitely worthwhile.
Gran Torino was uplifting and thought provoking....I expected a great Clint Eastwood production and found more than I expected. Walt reminded me of my own Dad who had been in the war and who had little patience for foolish things.
Liam Neeson is the perfect, believable action hero; you can tell that his prior experiences make him a formidable foe......a great friend but someone you don't want as an enemy. Well acted by largely an unknown, character driven cast; great dialogue.
