A journeyman effort by Cage. Does the play of character differences between Cage and Perlman hint at an underlying theme of the "goodness within man vs. the "evil" of the church" in that period? Perlman takes no side, he only seeks to maintain the bond of friendship that exists with Cage.
The supporting cast provides credible decision points for the two lead actors.
The PG-13 rating may be a little weak - but given the blood and guts nature of most role player video games, it probably fits in with what todays youths are accustomed to.
Overall, an enjoyable visual diversion.
