I'm not a big horror fan, but my girlfriend is, so I saw it. I liked the look and feel of the film and the plot wasn't bad, but a little vague. Wasn't too scary, which was obvious due to the guy behind us who kept falling asleep and snoring like a chain saw.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

My son made me see this because we are all avid gamers. It was a blast. Stylized like many graphic novels ported to the movies, there's lots of action and comedy. Barely noticed that it lasted 2 hours.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Didn't even notice the 3 hours in the theater. Execellent film!
I figure if my butt isn't sore after 2.5 hours, then it's a good movie. A lot of nervous scenes to keep you on the edge of your seat. A little out there from reality, but I'm sure that is the point.
I was afraid of the length of the movie, but it was necessary to cover each character and develop the plotline for those of us who aren't familiar with the graphic novel. Very enjoyable but not for those that are faint of heart. The movie pulls no punches as it shows the raw underbelly of humanity and a society of 'what could have beens'. IMAX is awesome, but Watchmen has a lot of extreme close-ups so you may see more than you wanted to. I saw it with my 18 year old son and we both enjoyed it.
The story was original and fun but a little too creepy for little kids. A couple of holes in the plot if you are really looking, yet forgivable. The 3D worked well, with no headache or eye strain. The visuals were pretty cool with the stop-motion animation.
