1940's Pygmalion??

Not Pygmalion, "The King's Speech" stands on its own quite well. It follows the Duke of York's stammering travails in an engaging way. While set in the late 30's to early 40's, the movie concentrates on the characters involved without overly emphasizing the historical events of the time. A very enjoyable movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
