Rather an extremely dark side as in the very old Fairy Tales with a Guardian mother as scary & evil figure - really quite extreme. And an outlaw boyfriend (though very handsome young man) none-the-less a hoodlum thief turns good - ends up the lost princess' first love and groom to be. Not sure why he took her to lunch at a place with only creepy ghoulish characters - not one remotely normal looking thing to be found - should have made her wish she'd never left the tower.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
