A Wonderful Surprise

This movie was a wonderful surprise in every way. It is amazing when a filmmaker discovers a true story such as this and brings to life a page in history we would never have known about. The acting is brilliant, yet I did not appreciate the subtleties of Firth's and Rush's skill until my second viewing. This is a movie all should see. There are powerful lessons here of courage and trust -- truly inspirational..

My son and I saw the movie and were thoroughly absorbed the entire 2 1/2 hours! We are huge fans of the series, but I had big doubts about how much I would enjoy the movie being set outside the familiar halls of Hogwarts. I needn't have worried; we were transfixed. We loved the way the characters are shown growing and maturing. My son has read every book, and I have read none. Each of us was engaged every minute. He was very pleased with the adaptation, and I loved not knowing what was coming next! Surpassed our expectations; we can't wait for Part 2.
