This is an inspirational film and a wake up call to every American reminding us of government's insidious whittling away of our rights and freedoms given to us by our Creator , codified by our forefathers and fought for by our fallen heros.

Bridge's performance is deserving of an Oscar nomination. The young actress playing "Matty" did a convincing job in her role as a precocious adolescent intent on avenging her father's murder. Matt Damon's portrayal as the refined and eloquently spoken Texas Ranger, Le Boeuf, represents a footnote in this film. The "mood" of the movie enables one to actually imagine themself in that era. Some graphic and heart wrenching scenes, one in paricular, exhibiting the obedience and loyalty of the horse. Essentially a good film.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
