I laughed more than my 5 year old

The movie is a bit heavy on dialogue but there was enough action to keep my son in his chair. What I found surprising was that a lot of the humor was mature and went over my son's head but got me chuckling a good number of times - once he asked me what I was laughing about. So, enjoyable enough for the kids but a better than expected experience for the parents. It was just fine without 3-D.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
