I am a bit surprised by all the negative reviews, but to each his own. Good thing we are all aloud to actually express our opinions, and that we all differ so much. I would find it quite annoying if everyone were like me :).
I took my Mom and step-dad to this for a Christmas night movie. We have made it a bit of a tradition to see a new movie on Christmas night. I quite enjoy this tradition since I absolutely love movies. I am also grateful for those that have to work on Christmas night to provide me with that enjoyment.
Anyway, to the review. I found the movie quite entertaining and hilarious, and very on par with the previous two. I was not a huge fan of the second one, but it provided an adequate amount of entertainment and comedy.
This latest installment had me laughing almost throughout. While many parts were predictable, they still provided some excellent comedy. We commented on the ride home how it is amazing to us how anyone ever comes up with such hilarity.
I will say that the overall the story and struggle between all the characters is very similar to the first two with a new spin. However, I liked how things were resolved, and how they ended up. I didn't go in to the movie expecting the next Avatar. I went in to it want to see a comedy and that is what I got.
I truly found myself laughing so hard and loud in parts that I became self conscious. I think that most fans of the first two, and these wonderful characters, will enjoy the new laughs and continuation of the Focker story.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
