This was a great movie. I enjoy animated movies, but my wife generally does not, and my 6 and under daughters all eat this stuff up. I thought the movie was great, and Maximus, the horse, stole the show. There were great fight scenes, running gags, high highs, low lows, bad guys, worse guys, bad guys that are good guys, good guys that are bad guys; in short, it had just about everything one could desire in a Disney flick. Also, the animation was great. We didn't see it in 3D, unfortunately, but the 2D had so much depth to it, it seemed almost 3D. Anyway, my wife, who came in expecting disappointment, also thought this was a fantastic movie! My kids also loved the movie, but, like with Bambi, there are some scenes that are pretty intense for my little ones, two of which quickly moved to my lap and buried their heads in my arms for some parts. However, unlike Bambi, the damage is reversed, which helps out quite a bit. Overall, a truly great family film that really plays well to the whole family.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
