Funny with decent special effects. The 3D didn't add anything.

This movie felt like it was the filler between two other movies. It wasn't much of a story itself. There were hints of Lord of the Rings throughout. Hopefully the next movie will make sitting through this one worthwhile.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
