I've read the book, so to see put it on the big screen was going to be challenging. For starters, this story is more "story" and less theatrics, thus the "Growing Up" title. The film had a great plot which was executed excellently. The acting was good also. You can see how the three main characters have developed their skills. I went with my 12 yo daughter and we both liked it. They picked a great place in the storyline to split the film. Fun, fun!!!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
