The visual scenes are breathtaking. I liked it that half of their high-tech gear didn't work or stopped working at a crucial time. Added to the "danger". Not like the TV show where everything always worked all the time: boring!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I thought the movie balanced the humor with the romance with the sci-fi (if you can call God sci-fi). Plus you get to see some great views of NYC! Kept me guessing until the very end and I can usually figure out the end on most movies easily. My favorite part is when the angel discusses the last 100,000 years of mankind's history to show how we've been screwing it up, so far!
It takes 95% of the movie to evolve but his character's self-assured, cockey personality finally gets it's come uppance as his no-strings, city-hopping, life style disintegrates into a self realization that is great to behold. The picture above (poster) says it all. I liked it. All performances were top notch.
