This is 2 movies in 1. The first has good character and plot development, and overall is captivating. Then the bottom drops out on the film. It's based on a true story so perhaps it's just a case of the 'truth' derailing what was once a very interesting movie. The storyline turns quite weird, to the point of actually being comical (in a bad way), and I felt myself emotionally detaching from the movie. I think during the holiday season when there are so many movie releases, you should have better options.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
