Our family really enjoyed this movie together. It's the same old story of the outcast of the family/tribe who makes good in the end and teaches everyone a "better way". The underlying tones of Iraq/Afghanistan come through at times, but is subtle enough for the younger kids not to catch it. It was beautifully animated and the characters are really likeable, especially the misunderstood dragons (see above comment on Iraq/Afghanistan).
Yes, I recommend this movie.

A beautiful film, whether or not it was seen in 3D. Strongly reminiscent of Dances With Wolves as far as the storyline goes, but with visual effects that have raised the bar, this movie will be a shoe-in for multiple awards this year.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
