i did not read the book and was expecting a really depressing film. it was dark, but still interesting. good, but not great. viggo was good, the kid was a little whiney. some of the score was cool. but not best picture of the year.
although a little long, this movie was great. it took a little long to get to the best scene of the film - which was amazingly well done - but i couldn't tell you what i'd cut. both actors were amazing, and i am intrigued at how langhella prepared for the role and how many times he watched the real interview to get nixon's facial expressions just right. i myself want to go watch the original interview now! very well done, great acting, great score, and educational!
The acting is great, the story is powerful, and the kid is adorable. It's not the best film ever, but it was really touching, enjoyable and worth seeing. my husband liked it too! and like everyone else says... bring tissues!
