Not being a Potterite and never having read any of the books, I was lost throughout most of the movie. Compared to the other movies I have seen, it was very dark. That said, it was well done and my wife, who IS a Potterite and HAS read the book, said she really enjoyed it.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
