This was a great follow up to the first movie. I still think the first movie was better, but this did not disappoint. Those minions are still zany and loveable, Gru is still oddly stilted as a Dad, but that is what makes some of the funniest scenes. But Dr. Nefario!! There's very little of him in this movie and none of Gru's mama. I missed them both!! And I hate that down to earth Margo has her head turned by such an obvious kind of guy. She is WAY smarter than that. WAY. Glad everything turned out so well in the end though, and Lucy was an awesome addition. I have to say, they really outdid themselves with the final song though. Everyone in the theatre (the parents) from the 80's was about to pee their pants laughing at the minions take on "I Swear". It is not to be missed. Do not leave early!! And then they sing again! and the second song is almost as good as the first! Loved it all........Love Gru and the crew!
Pros great story, great actors
Cons far fetched premise
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Lives up the book

Not all of the movies have been worthy of this book series, although that may be an insurmountable obstacle anyway, but I've loved all of them and they've gotten better with each one that has come out. This one is by far the best and it was a roller coaster ride just as the book was. Bring your own seat belt, you're going to need it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
