I've been looking forward to this film for a long time. It's beautifully filmed and it's great fun to see the clothing and cars from the 1930's. However, there's very little character development. There isn't one person that I felt any compassion for or liked. I had expected that there would be some suspenseful scenes but I never once was sitting on the edge of my seat. If you like car chases and lots of gunfire, then this is your movie. It seems like such a waste of Johnny Depp and Christian Bale.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
