A movie about a "taboo" topic which is very realistic in the telling. As the story unfolds, it becomes uplifting and inspiring! In the end, it's message is of hope and survival in the face of horrendous abuse!
This was an okay movie that could of been a lot better. Liam's acting was very good as well as most of the other adults. The actress who plays his daughter was not believable to me. If you like action movies then go see this movie. If you have a teenager living with you, take them to this movie as it will give you an opportunity to have a serious discussion about safety concerns.
Beyonce hits the mark on this movie which my husband and I found enlightening on multiple levels. Among other things, it depicts the way music played a role in integration, and how music of Black vocalists and musicians influenced artists in the U.S. and in Europe. In spite of the difficulties for Black artists, it showed that the bottom line was that the relationships developed mattered! Extremely entertaining! Go see this movie!!!
Yeah this movie had lots of fight scenes and car chases but the romantic interest was a distraction. First of all, the GIRL looked like she was 15 years old and acted like a 2 year old spoiled brat. The fact that she was able to seduce Frank was not very believable. I would of given it a 5 if it weren't for this distraction.
