Good movie... for its target audience

I took my girlfriend's 7 yr. old son so she could get some college work done. Those of us that caught the series when it first came out were left somewhat confused by the meshing of ALL the characters in the Star Wars series... but all was cool if you take it for what it is... a variation on the theme. For animation... the tech stuff could have been a lot more CG driven and impressive. However, it got the job done ok. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. I still prefer the original better, but can see how this will appeal to the younger generation that didn't grow up with the 'emerging Star Wars' phenomenon. Worth going to see... especially if your taking some young ones along to experience it for the first time.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
