I enjoyed the first part of the seventh installment in the Harry Potter series, however it left me with mixed feelings. Not having read the book before seeing the film I believe it truly benefitted me when analyzing it from a non biased standpoint. Overall I thought the movie looked phenomenal. The character models were very impressive, effects were well done, and they did a great job of making the world feel lived in. I had a few issue with some of the cuts between scenes but nothing to major. So the movie was good, but whats next? The film didn't leave me with much anticipation for what comes next. The plot is rather simple and not often exciting. I felt like the characters were run, run, running then there was a slow part for a while then there was more running then the movie ended. At the end I thought to myself ok well that was fun as a filler movie but were do we go now? Hopefully the last installment wont be so similar. I look forward to an even more action packed adventure from Harry Potter and his friends in part 2.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
