It was better than Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, and Half-Blood Prince. It's about on par with Order of the Phoenix. They leave out major details (like, the entire deal with Dumbledore), they don't explain the mirror, there is no Tonks family, there is no Dean. They don't mention the Taboo. There's much to be desired. However, it gets a 'good' rating because it is better than the crapfests that were movies 3,4, and 6 and there are some parts of the book that are perfectly represented in this movie. For example, the scene with the locket 'fighting back' and the scene with the 7 Potters was great.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
