The perfect icing on the most iconic movie franchise in history. What we have witnessed since Sorcerer's Stone in 2001 is pure entertainment magic, a near perfect, loving movie replication of J.K Rowling's books. Never before has this level of care been taken to transfer book to film (witness the travesty that is 007) We are very lucky to have lived at this time and enjoy this level of sophistication of movie magic....
Is it the perfect movie? No, but it is great fun. Good story, Great action (maybe a little too much) Somethings were a bit silly, or slightly offensive (the twins) Overall, an enjoyable afternoon romp at the movies......
Top notch. Fast paced, well written movie- far superior over what the critics have said. I feel it has become fashionable to trash Dan Brown's work because of the content, to me it is not a valid criticism. This story is an intriguing, exciting mystery about science and religion that doesn't insult either. True to the book with some exceptions. Great work by Tom Hanks and Ron Howard. Overall A-
Loved this movie. Saw it today, and I have to disagree with anyone who says it wasn't an X-files movie. This movie was right on the money and had all the key points of any X-File episode ever done. The problem I see is that because it's a "movie" shown in theaters, observers expect more out of it. For me it was just like any other X-File episode only slightly longer. My expectations weren't any more than the TV show and did not expect to compare it to any of this summers blockbusters at all. Great story (it was a very Scully story with all the angst that goes with it) and this theme has popped up in the show many times. Great addition to the existing Mythos. Loved it, loved it, loved it and am happy to finally see Mulder and Scully once again.
A modern day take on the legendary Greek Gods, this is a great story of misunderstanding and redemption. Will Smith and Charlize Theron are wonderful, as is Mr. Bateman. The story and plot are first rate. Fulfilling and fun.
