I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. There were plenty of parts where I would have done something different but I don't work in the transit industry to know. This is the first movie I've seen in a while where I was on the edge of my seat, felt actual anger towards characters portrayed on screen, and felt the urge to clap when things went the right way. Denzel was awesome as always but Chris Pine was so so. It kinda messed with my head that Denzel was in this after just doing Pelham 123. Maybe this was a prequel =)
The fact that this film is based on a true story in Ohio blows my mind that it actually happened. It's like in Broken Arrow, "I don't know what's scarier, losing nuclear weapons, or that it happens so often there's actually a term for it." I hadn't heard of a coaster before this movie but now I know.
Go see it!

This movie is part one of two so a majority of it is a setup for the epic conclusion of the book series of a decade. Many people do not like the movie because it is slow and less action filled then the others but true fans will enjoy how closely the book resembles the movie as well as the reappearance of previous characters.
The book series understandably grows dark as we build to the battle of good versus evil but I thought this film had plenty of emotion and even comedy to keep it upbeat and have the audience asking for more.
People upset about the nudity obviously don't watch primetime TV because they get away with and show more then there was in this film.
I am glad this film was not done in 3D as it was not needed and I am counting the days to the conclusion!!!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
