This was extremely enjoyable but I have been a fan and read all the books. If you have never seen a Potter movie, this would be utter nonsense. However, it is the 7th movie in a series, so I really can't blame them. It is well-made and captures the dread and darkness of the book really well. Actually, I think the pacing is quite a bit better than in the book where parts seemed to drag on. If you've seen the others, you will love this. If you haven't go rent or buy the DVDs because it's worth following this series.
