Wow! This movie was awesome. The story and acting was amazing. Heath Ledger was amazing as The Joker (best supporting actor oscar? I think so).
Something that is both a positive and a negative is the story line. The positive is that the plot felt like an actual story and not a movie. Meaning that it didn't feel like a neatly packaged plot. The whole story has a few mini-stories that build up the entire plot. And the sum of parts make the whole even better. The negative aspect of that is that the movie seems to have multiple endings and that can kind of throw you off. But it was refreshing as well. I'd more likely give the movie 4.5 stars because of this.
The movie is very very dark and disturbing, especially the Joker's character. Makes your skin crawl at how evil he is. Jack Nicholson has nothing on this version.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
