I'm writing this review as both a fan of the books and of the previous movies. Deathly Hallows definitely delivers!
This is a much more 'grown up' film than the others in the series. The main cast give their best performances yet, and it's nice to see old characters return even if it's only briefly.
The action scenes are done well and the moodiness is a nice departure from the earliest films.

The only complaint I have, I also had with Rowling's book. It does drag in the middle. I've always thought the Harry Potter films were a bit long, but in this one you notice the length more than the others.
Despite this I was never bored and the movie left me wanting more! Can't wait til July when all the pieces come together!
