Wonderful New Narnia movie for the collection

Went with friends for the 2d Midnight showing and was not disappointed for this movie which I have anticipated long before even Prince Caspian. There is just so much more fun content with the setting more as an adventure and quest. The sea voyage, slave trade, treasure, dragon, sea serpent. You meet old and new characters and start to feel how these children grow, move on, and leave the Narnia legacy for the next to follow. Eustace was perfect in his role. Just pompous, winey, cowardly enough to make you want to wring his neck, but added much in the way of comic moments. His growth is well portrayed throughout the movie and I especially enjoyed his relationship with Reepicheep.
Maybe moving away from Disney and change of director was a good move for the series. Beautiful to look at so worries about that. The scenes and effects were better than I had hoped. I especially loved how the dragon and the sea serpent were done. Story flowed well (in typical quest format). Characters had a chance to develop more. Spiritual analogies are there for those who wish to see it, and otherwise a fantastical movie for anyone to enjoy. Now I cannot wait for the Silver Chair.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Great though with a few raised eyebrows.

I will faithfully rate this movie 5 stars, though there were a few places my friends and I raised our eyebrows and tried not to laugh or scoff. Ron's jealously was definitely amplified in this one. Ending was changed around a bit, but that wasn't too unexpected. I am still grateful there are two movies for the end - that really saved this movie from being rushed.
Actors were wonderful in all their roles. Really shows how they've grown throughout the series. They are truly their characters. Visually stunning and befitting, it really brings the world to life better than my imagination is capable of.
Good balance of a few comic moments to alleviate the heavy intensity. And of course, they leave it at the worse possible cliffhanger which will leave all its fans groaning at the wait for part 2.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
