The movie fills in gaps the play missed. Meryl Streep is outstanding as "Donna." Her rendition of "The Winner Takes it All" is magnificent! She, along with all the female cast, are wonderful in their roles, especially in their burlesque entertainment routines; as are the principal male actors led by Pierce Brosnan, although his voice (or dub in) makes for some awkward listening. Once past the rather promiscuous nature of the central character (Donna as "Mia"), the story line plays out exceptionally well.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Will's character does this wonderfully likeable and usually loveable actor a tremendous disservice. The techtronics and plot are so far out that the group of highly capable actors and audience are overwhelmed.by such an unbelievable story-line.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
