I had the good fortune to see the Deathly Hallows on a regular screen, then on IMAX. The movie holds up quite well in both formats, but the IMAX version had a much better sound mix and the clarity was noticeably improved. The first hour is terrific; the second hour+ is all the 'on the run' camping and hiking (if you recall from the book) and it really slows down the pacing. Not bad, just a real change in momentum - as is the story line at this point. The cliffhanger was perfect (and I will not reveal this to spoil anyone reading this review). All I add say is you HAVE TO KNOW the prior movies OR all the books to enjoy DH. Anyone walking in to see DH for their first Potter experience will be lost. Also, to parents --- keep the under 10 year olds at home. The PG rating is misleading and will give the young ones a hard time. This is not a cheerful movie by any means. It is dark! Read the book! Lastly >>> go see the Deathly Hallows.
