My 5 year old granddaughter made me a fan about 1 year ago. I have been enthralled with the depth of each character from all the movies that were previously made. The Deathly Hallows Part 1 was no exception to the previous movies as it had excitement and energy that kept you on the edge of your seat. The actors in this movie remain masters of their characters. I saw Deathly Hallows on opening day with my granddaughter and we were both rewarded with a great performance. Neither of us (she is 5) can wait until part 2 this summer. We are with you Harry and Friends as you defeat evil!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I went mid-afternoon on opening day to see this movie. I was very excited because, we needed a good alien movie as it had been a while since Independence Day when we were properly invaded. The premise at the beginning was very good with the Alien's sampling the human crop and making sure their trip wasn't wasted. When they finally decended in force on the cities, it was obvious they were intent on harvesting all the humans. Who knew brains were so needed by others beyond our own selves. Much like the movie Cloverfield, the invasion was seen and witnessed through the first half. However, the interest started to peak off when the main actor and actress were lifted up towards one of the main ships. It is ok to show what is in the ship and it is ok to see how the brains are utilized. When the main actor was given a new alien body with his brain in it, the movie stops going anywhere at that point. As a new Alien form, he is tries to rescue his girlfiend who is close to being harvested herself. There was no conclusion to this movie. We needed to see what was next. We didn't need a sequel to provide the ending. This movie has no conclusion only mere speculation generated by a poor ending. This movie is OK to view on a big screen because of the special effects but, beyond that, it rather hokey and better seen on your big screen at home. A nice idea for a movie. I hope there is not a sequel.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
