It was refreshing that the producer actually followed the storyline for a change. The fact that most of the movie is filmed in dark grays and blacks is very appropriate given that this is the darkest book of the series. It magnifies the isolation that Harry, Hermione, and Ron are experiencing at this point in the saga, such that a true Harry Potter fan would come to expect. It didn't bother me that there was a general lack of whimsical magic in this film as was in the previous films because this film is about Harry finally realizing who he is and what he is supposed to do. It's about finding and destroying the horcruxes and ultimately Voldemort, and survival. It is not about the school-aged lighting spells, and elementary wand work as was used in the Hogwarts scenes. They are not in Hogwarts, and they are no longer children. I am anxiously looking forward to the final film to see how it changes or stays the same from the current film. I hope part two stays true to the book as part one does. Great Job WB.
