As a huge fan of the books, I too am infatuated with the movies. The midnight showing last night was great. **SPOILER ALERT*** I was disappointed not to see the scene at the beginning with the Dursleys, the scene with Dudley is a favorite of mine because it shows that Dudley does in fact care about Harry. The multiple safehouses/portkeys were not used and it doesn't show why Hagrid all of a sudden was slumped over and Harry was trying to drive the bike. I also wish they had stressed the fact that Sirius's house was left to Harry and therefore Kreacher was his "servant elf" and had to do his bidding. Lastly, Harry never took MadEye's eye from Umbridge's door!
That being said - I like the way that they did the scene at the ministry, where people actually saw that it was Harry, Ron and Hermoine. I thought the amount of content and dialogue in the movie from the book was amazing compared to past films. Dobby's death was done so poetically, i'm glad they added him saying goodbye to his friends. I also thought that where they ended the movie was a great half mark to stop, i figured it would either be there or at the Malfoy manor.
