Overall this movie is a very good portrayal of the book. Although there were some details and characters eliminated, it is entirely understandable and in no way changes or harms the original intention of the author. The cast was chosen carefully and it shows in that each representation is true to the story and comes across wonderfully on the screen. For anyone typically disappointed when books are translated to the big screen, this is one they actually did right!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
