This is not Superman. This modern update discards too many of the core tenants of what it is to be Superman, and it infuses them into too dark and dreary a framework. They forgot what makes Superman Superman and instead went for dark themes enmeshed in ridiculous fight scenes. I'm normally a sucker for this special effects extravaganza, but they forgot their main character is supposed stand for truth, justice, an the American way.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
